PostSubject: Week 1: Rams-27 Cardinals-24   Week 1: Rams-27 Cardinals-24 EmptyTue Oct 05, 2010 12:48 pm

The first three quarters were back and forth, with both teams putting together drives but not quite being able to get points from their drives. The score was 10-10 going into the final quarter. Arizona was able to put the go ahead touchdown on the board early in the 4th (10-17 AZ). St. Louis was able to put respond with a solid drive with just over two minutes remaining and was able to tie up the game at 17s. On the first play from scrimmage after the Ram's touchdown, Brady dropped back to pass and threw an interception. Stephen Jackson was able to break off a nice touchdown run putting the Rams up 24-17 with 2:14 left on the clock. Following the two minute warning, Brady and the Cardinals drove down the field, and were able to tie the game at 21s with just 21 seconds remaining. After the kickoff, the Rams had under 20 seconds remaining, but all their time outs. A couple of passes, and time outs later, St. Louis had the ball lined up for a 50 yard field goal. The kick sailed through the up-rights with no time left on the clock giving the Rams a 27-24 victory in the first game of the season.
